Acrylic on fiberboard. app. 6x15 inches. Number 3 in the series Christmas Trees From Other Planets
The inhabitants of the planet Hffhpphfftfios, which orbits the star Segin (Epsilon Cassiopeiae) are well known for their expertise in the manufacture of plastic meteors. The much lauded PMC (plastic meteor craze) of year 8oian (app. 1248 Anno Domini) was quite a boom time for them. Alas, the demand for plastic meteors has subsided at least 74% since that time - but the ever enterprising Hffhpphfftfians will not cry over their economic downturn. Instead, they've taken the shards of chipped and otherwise damaged meteors and turned them into rather retro-ish looking trees for the celebration of Christ's Mass. The plastic becomes too brittle for Beechey's climate, so Keb keeps this one in his hothouse, sequestered somewhere in the sleepy and shadowey suburbs of Nuuk, Greenland.
Note from Keb: Be warned - they do NOT arrive assembled.
