He Who Sings to Shipwrecks by kolaboy He Who Sings to Shipwrecks by kolaboy
Acrylic on a knotty, bumpy old board that I found in the barn, 24x48 inches.

Just something I began back in July, set aside, and forgot about. I found it the other day and worked about a day and a half on it. After scraping my hands numerous times on the board's ragged edge (I don't use an easel, I find them pretentious) I remembered why I had set it aside in the first place. So, it's not finished per se, but I'm finished with it.

Thanks for looking =)

I can't help but picture an anthropomorphic easel somehow being snooty and pretentious, while other furniture glare at it. Although I kind of want to make a custom easel, one which grips the... what ever it it you feel like covering with paint at the time and has a swivel which allows it to be spun round upside down. Such a thing would make the likes of Mr Squiggle very happy, having to always spin it upside down for that silly woman. Have you ever seen that show, Mr Squiggle?

I've not seen Mr. Squiggle, but I do remember seeing a documentary about Roy Lichtenstein, and he had an easel that pretty much did what you describe. Not too sure what woman he was pleasing by doing so, but there you are.

Incredible painting Danny. To me, the coloring (or almost lack thereof) adds as much power to it the composition itself does. Mark
