Artist's Comments

Acrylic on canvas board, 16X20 inches. An old piece, circa 1990.

Caspar David Friedrich once claimed to have found "God in the reeds". I think one might also find God in an overturned sofa.
Thanks for looking =)

:iconvenusmantrap:
So is it the devil who is in the details or god?

Or is the whole thing just a matter of perspective and personal epiphanies?

Did you ever read Signal to Noise?

Mary dances for the angels
She's a puppet turned to queen
She's the harlot of the holy
Only angels hear her sing

An object-lesson in negative space... and I see you were kind enough to give the cathedral its second tower. :)

I love it. :+favlove:

Awesome piece. I can't believe it's 17 years old! Also, your explanation reminds me of "I found Jesus, he was behind the couch all this time!"

Poor thing needs some oxygen quickly. There is something... cinematic about this. Like an early nineties art film.

Thank you =)
