Description
Acrylic on canvas, 36x48 inches - detail.
No longer extant.
I remember once seeing on TV a stone carver who was making a copy of a disintegrating statue atop a cathedral. When the interviewer asked him what he did if he made a mistake, he answered "One doesn't make mistakes...." A lovely answer - and one I suspect I'll never be able to give.
An incurable perspective miscalculation is the reason this painting did not survive. All that remains is a photograph. It's likely all for the best. Painting angels - or girls in armor is (for me) getting dangerously close to the whole Frazzetta thing - which is great if you're doing Molly Hatchet album covers, but I have no ambition in that area whatsoever. RIP Danny Joe Brown.
Hey, it's Christmas
Thanks for looking

I destroyed one once. perhaps not for the same reason. its honesty was too simplistic but was what it was when painted. respect for your decision, glad you will still show the work and point to the thorn that pricks in it.
