I like the fact it looks like a lion. You should paint the scene in Ezekiel chapter One. That'd be very interesting to see coming from that brain of yours. Who knows? The Lord might just borrow your hands for awhile and paint it for you ;)

I truly hope He does

Ezekiel AND those four creatures mentioned in Revelation have always fascinated me...

Hahaha yes. I would love to see you do that. You should paint him being grabbed by the hair and lifted in the spirit when he goes on his and the Lord's vision quests.

Starting from the 4th chapter on.... it would take several lifetimes

Haha. Well a few lifetimes is still waaaayyyy shorter than the time we spend when we get back home. You think we'll remember the Kingdom when we get there?

My silly romantic side would like to think so, (the past is very important to me) but I think that the beatific vision AND the transfigured and purified reality will overwhelm everything, as this passage intimates:

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. (Isaiah 65:17)

How humbling for mankind, that all our civilization and supposed achievements will be unequivocally dissolved

I always wonder if I get to remember my adventure on Earth up there.

I would sure hope I do so I can tell the difference and see how long I waited to come home. I guess you and I will both find out one of these days. If you beat me, ask Sampson what he was thinking. Cause I know what it's like to have a Delilah in your life, but He had some tremendous gifts and yeah, you know the rest.

Sampson was a weird guy, but he wasn't much of a mystery. I'm pretty sure I know what he was thinking, and what he was thinking with. God often uses a bewildering array of flawed folks to accomplish his purpose. The main lesson i draw from Sampson is that talent is nothing, unless it glorifies its source...

Ehud is my favorite of the judges. It might be a bit of fun painting him carving up the fat fellow =D
