This is something that's been in my head for awhile. Back in the spring of 1983 I heard a piece of music on the radio by Dvorak, called
The Noonday Witch. I had no idea of the story behind it, but subsequently learned that his inspiration was a Karel Erben poem,
Polednice which relates a Slavic legend concerning a witch called "Lady Midday"...

I prefer the light of ruby and amethysts.
There are still witches (Shaman called Mudang) in Korea than summon the General in Red
this practice is always protective.
What is the significance of the frog?
