Acrylic, 16X24. Completed last July.

Scanned and assembled. And I thought photographing a painting was fun :sarcasm:*
The first piece I completed after what was likely the worst month of my life (June). I've no idea if the events of said month influenced this painting since I tend to submerge all unpleasantness beneath the miles of permafrost that I've allowed to accumulate over the years (self-preservation, ya know). There shall be no clubbing of baby seals in my arctic preserve.
I ask questions, but I pray that the answers never come. "Bless me with mystery, and shroud me with shadows..." (Keb)

But I (as usual) digress...

I thank you, dear people, for looking

*I had no idea there was a sarcasm emote...

wow this is really interesting
it's not the kind of piece that you look at and go "oh that's nice" it's the kind of piece that you look at and go "oh that's nice" and then do a double take because it's so ... different.
the concept, the composition, the colors are all very thought provoking and beautiful.
I agree - really intersting! Intersting combination of symbols, "items"... and in that misty context... It's good work!

The imagery is too personal for me to be comfortable commenting on, other than to say it's endlessly intriguing, cryptic and impossibly well done. The colours you used against the stark grays are just perfect... I love the effect of the blue and red screens in particular. And that's probably the most empathetic and emotional act of metaphorical vampirism I've ever seen.

I submerge my unpleasantness with vast amounts of sushi (the mercury works like a delete button against random memories... I know it's working on days I wake up happy).

They have emotes for everything don't they... even if you're feeling :jasinski:, although they still need one for days I'm waxing `sphilr. :)
