The Waif Of Shalottby `kolaboy

Acrylic on canvas, 16x20 inches. A new piece.

There's a strange place that you reach when you're nearing the end of a detailed piece. Ideally, that 7th sense will tell you when to stop. Unfortunately, that only happens about a seventh of the time. Most times it's more of a sputtering stop, and a vague feeling of uncertainty. Sometimes it's best to stick the piece in a closet for a few days, so any troubling areas will jump out at you when you look at it later...

Anyway, I've played hide and seek (and performed selective surgery) for a few weeks now, and it's time to move on. In terra pax.
